What is the “Tutorials” feature?

Edited

The “Tutorials” feature allows a Studio and community members to share explanatory videos to help players. It is a great way to familiarize your community with a game’s key concepts.

The “Tutorials” feature is organized in a three-tier hierarchy. At the top level is a menu. A Universe can have multiple menus, for example separate menus from the base game and DLCs. A menu comprises one or more chapters, which are in turn subdivided into categories. A tutorial is shared in a specific category.

Note: Tutorials can be added in any language! Users can also filter tutorials by language. Each Universe has its own list of languages.

Any G2G member can add a video hosted on YouTube to a Universe’s “Tutorials” feature. A studio can incentivize sharing tutorials by including the feature in its gamification strategy. There is a badge quest available that unlocks based on a member’s tutorials reaching a specified number of upvotes.

Note: A G2G member needs a YouTube account and a G2G account in order to share a tutorial.

All community members can interact with tutorials by commenting or upvoting. Admins and Devs have additional tools to edit and moderate a tutorial’s link, title, description, and comments left by other members.
