What is the anti-spam service ?
Our anti-spam service is a proactive moderation tool. It reviews posts for signs of spam before they are posted. If a post is suspected of being spam, the user will see an error message and the message will not be posted.
An error message below a post suspected of being spam.
Spam is determined by scoring each post based both on a list of suspicious words and the length of the user’s presence on the platform. If a post is scored over 100, it will not be published on the platform.
A newly created account starts with a score of 100. This score decreases daily until it reaches 0. Each word on the spam word list is weighted. A post’s spam score is a sum of an account's base score and the scores of any words from the spam word list.
For example, if the word “jackpot” has a score of 20, a user with a two-day old account would not be able to post any text with that word. However, a user who had been on the platform for several months would be able to post up to four instances of the word “jackpot” in a single post. A fifth instance would reach the threshold and not be posted.
