What is the "Votes" feature ?
The “Votes” feature offers a straightforward way for studios to collect feedback from their community. When this feature is enabled, Devs and Admins can create multiple-choice surveys to solicit specific feedback on a question. It’s a simple process for Devs to create a vote in the back office. The most challenging part will be narrowing down your potential responses!
On the front end, the “Votes” feature has a user-friendly interface that invites users to participate and vote results are transparent.
This screenshot shows what a vote looks like for users on the front end.
Each of three options is represented by an image.
The results of highlighted votes are visible on the front end to all users and users will always see the current results once they’ve participated in a vote. Results are visible to all users once a vote is complete. This lets the community see the direct connection between what they vote for and what is implemented.
The feature offers several customization options in the back office. Vote responses can include pictures, text, and even embedded content. Setting a voting window makes sure the community has time to reply and the studio has the time to put their suggestion into production.
Visibility settings are available to help you grab the community’s attention. Highlighting a vote makes it appear larger on the page. A vote can be set to cross-universe to ask the Studio’s entire community to weigh in.
When a user makes a selection, their G2G points are added to the option’s total. This means votes are weighted; a member’s engagement has a bearing on the outcome. The option with the most G2G points tallied up wins.
The “Votes” feature is a great way for studios to let their community decide!
