How to move a thread to another forum ?

A user with a Restriction Level of Moderator or higher can move threads.

Threads are found within a forum. All forums can be found on the “Forums” page. To access the “Forums” page, select or hover over a Universe in the side navigation. Then, select “Forums” from the dropdown that appears. 

If you are already on a Universe page, you can also find “Forums” via the horizontal page menu. On the “Forums” page, you’ll see a list of forums. Click on a forum to see sub-forums and threads.

Click on the title of the thread you’d like to move. You’ll see a series of icons at the top of the thread, to the right of the thread title. The icon with a horizontal arrow is the “Move” button. Click that button and options for moving your thread will pop up!

There are two ways to indicate where you want to move the thread. If you know the URL of the forum that you want to move the thread to, you can put that directly into the top textbox. Then, click the “Move This Thread” button at the bottom of the window, and you’re set!

If you aren’t sure of the URL, click the dropdown at the bottom of the “Move thread” window. You’ll be able to view a list of possible destination forums. Select the forum you want to move the thread to. Then, click the “Move This Thread” button at the bottom of the window, and you’re good to go!

Note: The original URL for the moved thread will be deactivated after 24 hours. If you’ve previously used that link to share the thread, you’ll need to share the new link!
