Key Improvements

Below, we have highlighted the most important topics from our recent updates.

⭐ New Features

G2G Version

You can now easily identify the G2G VERSION you are using on your platform. This information is available in the footer on your platform or by clicking on your avatar picture in the Admin Page. This feature will assist you in checking the release notes, updates, and fixes.

Blocked Terms

We have introduced a proactive moderation tool that helps the platform determine whether a post is spam. You can access, add, delete, or update the list of "forbidden terms" in the Admin Page under Settings. For more information, please refer to this article.

Chatbot

A new icon representing Chatbot Gigi can now be found in the top right corner of your Admin Page, near your profile picture. Gigi facilitates access to Help Center articles and allows you to contact Account Managers directly via the support form. Feel free to use Gigi for daily questions about the platform, such as:

Ideas Rework

We have revamped the Homepage of the Ideas feature and the Ideas cards for several reasons:

  • Highlight Developers' Work: You can now customize the Homepage with interchangeable blocks to highlight specific metrics for your community from a predefined list. If you wish to update your blocks, please contact us.

  • Flow Optimization: We have designed a smoother navigation experience between the back and front ends, with redirection buttons to help developers easily select a status and respond to ideas.

  • Facilitated Follow-Up: New filters have been added on the left side for easier navigation.

  • Ideas Card: The status of ideas and developer comments are now prominently displayed.

🛠️ Upcoming Features

In the coming months, we will be deploying new updates and improvements, including:

Select Field

In the Admin Page, we have reworked all select fields. Previously, many fields contained long lists of items, making selection complicated. Soon, you will be able to select multiple elements by ticking checkboxes and typing the first letters of your selection.

For example, in 'Community' -> 'Users' -> 'All users':

  • Before: You could only select one filter at a time.

  • After: You can select multiple items.

Example in 'Admin page' -> 'Bugs' -> 'Settings' -> 'Highlights'

You can start typing the bug, and the selection will be filtered to help you find the bug to highlight.

Bugs V2

We are introducing a design rework with new functionalities and sections:

  • New Homepage: Features sections such as "What's New," "My Dashboard," and "Followed Bugs."

  • For Players: Improved tracking of bugs created, reproduced, commented on, and drafts, along with a clearer view of bug status through a status bar. Also pinned bugs are highlighted.

  • For Studio Staff:

    • Enhanced tracking capabilities, allowing direct access to followed bugs, most upvoted, and most reproduced bugs for better efficiency and prioritization of bug fixes.

    • Facilitated Navigation: You can now directly link to a Jira ticket by clicking on the '+' CTA next to the bug thumbnail.

  • Move Bugs: Easily move a bug, a comment, or reproduction to another category or subcategory for better organization.

  • Merge Bugs: Merge related bugs, comments or reproductions into a single report to centralize similar issues, improving information gathering.

Rate Limits

We will soon enable you to update posting rate limit rules directly in the Admin Page under Settings. This addition is part of our transition towards a SaaS model (Software as a Service), providing you with the tools needed to configure your platform as desired. The rate limiter is one of G2G’s proactive moderation tools, designed to prevent spam content from bots by limiting users from posting multiple instances of the same content type in a short period.

Note: After the rate limit deployment, Admins and Developers will no longer be subject to these limits and can post freely without delays.
