In the default layout, the “Blogs Insight” block is in the top left. To the left is the “Most/Latest” block. Below the “Blogs Insight” graph is the “Most Viewed Blog” block. To its right is the “Most/Latest Commented Blog” block. At the bottom of the dashboard is the “Latest Used Tags” block with a “Manage” button leading to the “All Tags” page.
The “News” dashboard in the default layout is shown above.
“Blogs Insight” block
The “Blogs Insight” block shows a line graph of news article views across time. You can adjust the time frame using the date fields above the graph. Click the date field to select a start or end date from a date picker.
Click the three dots to the right of the date fields to export the data as a .csv file.
The date fields to adjust the graph’s time frame are highlighted above in blue.
The three dots button that lets you download data or select an article is highlighted in yellow.
By default, the graph shows views for all articles. If you want to graph views for a single article, click on the three dots button. Then click in the text field labeled “Field” and begin typing the title of the article you want to graph. A dropdown will appear with titles that match what you’ve entered. Select the correct title. The graph will update to only show the views from that article.
“Most/Latest” block
The “Most/Latest” block lets you create an article list organized by different values over a set period of time.
The leftmost dropdown at the top of the block is set to “Most” by default. Use the next dropdown over to select whether you want to view the most commented or most viewed articles. This will display a list of articles with either the articles with the most views or the articles with the most comments at the top.
By default, it will sort articles based on views or comments over the past month. You can change the time frame using the dropdown on the rightmost side of the block. Select from the dropdown to view views or comments over the last month, all time, yesterday, the last week, or the last year.
The “Most/Latest” and “Viewed/Commented” dropdowns are highlighted in blue on the left.
The time frame dropdown is highlighted in yellow.
Return to the first dropdown to view a chronological list of news articles. If you select “Latest” from the leftmost dropdown, the block will display a list of the most recently published articles.
By default, it will only display articles published over the last month. You can again choose a different time frame from the rightmost dropdown to show articles published over the last month, all time, yesterday, the last week, or the last year.
“Most Viewed Blog” block
The “Most Viewed Blog” block displays only one news article at a time. The article displayed depends on the dropdown on the right. Select a time frame from this dropdown to display the article with the most views since last month, all time, yesterday, the last week, or last year.
The dropdown that allows a user to select a time frame for the most viewed article is highlighted in blue.
To the left of the article’s title and first couple sentences, you can get a quick view of two of the article’s key engagement stats: views and comments.
“Most/Latest Commented Blog” block
The “Most/Latest Commented Blog” block only displays one article at a time. Use the dropdown on the left to select whether you see the news article that has most recently been commented on (“Latest”) or the article that has the most comments overall (“Most”).
The dropdown that allows a user to switch between the “Most” commented and the “Latest” commented article is highlighted in blue.
If you select “Most” from the dropdown, you will see another dropdown added on the top right. Use this dropdown to specify whether the block displays the most recent article to receive a comment in the last month, all time, yesterday, or last year.
“Latest Used Tags” block
The block at the bottom of the dashboard shows the most recently used tags. Click on any tag to go to that tag’s edit window.
You can also access the “All Tags” page from the “Manage” button at the bottom of the “Latest Used Tags” block.
