What is G2G Inventory Service ?

The “Inventory” service allows you to offer in-game rewards through the Games2gether (G2G) platform. This service operates behind the scenes to link your game and G2G’s gamification to enrich your players’ experience. It enables you to gift a reward directly to a player’s inventory or for players to receive items in-game by earning badges or via Twitch Drops.

To use the “Inventory” service, players must be able to link their in-game account to their G2G account. This can be done through the G2G account system or through SSO account services. You also need to set up Twitch Connect for players to be able to earn Twitch Drops through the “Inventory” service.

During set up, a G2G inventory is created for each member and linked to your game’s inventory system. When items are awarded through activity on either G2G or Twitch, they are added to a player’s G2G inventory. Players can then access them in-game via the “Inventory” service, provided they have linked their in-game account to G2G. 

The “Inventory” service is not activated by default. If you’d like to use the “Inventory” service, speak with your Account Manager.
